"The Son" is complete, self-contained and final. All the critic can bring to it is his admiration. It needs no insight or explanation.
How much of the conflict results in actual violence? Anxious about the son he will have with his new wife, during pregnancy, she begins to have a certain obsessive and malicious behavior, which makes the relationship between them both tense.
